Aspimax Cardio 75 mg – Heart Protection & Antiplatelet Support, 40 Tablets

Indications:
Aspimax Cardio works by preventing the formation of blood clots and is used for:
- preventing the recurrence of myocardial infarction and stroke (transient ischemic attack and cerebral infarction);
- reducing the risk of myocardial infarction in children with angina pectoris or with multiple risk factors, such as: high blood pressure, increased blood lipid levels (hypercholesterolemia), smoking, diabetes and family history;
- maintaining blood circulation in the blood vessels of the heart after certain surgical interventions (vascular plasty and coronary bypass).
Aspimax Cardio should not be used to treat fever or pain (regardless of their type) because it releases a small amount of acetylsalicylic acid.

Contraindications:
Do not use Aspimax Cardio:
- if you are allergic to acetylsalicylic acid, other salicylates or any of the other ingredients of Aspimax Cardio.

Precautions:
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using Aspimax Cardio.

Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility:
Pregnancy:
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
Do not use Aspimax Cardio if you are in the last trimester of pregnancy. In the first two trimesters of pregnancy, take Aspimax Cardio only if your doctor advises you to do so.

Breast-feeding:
Small amounts of acetylsalicylic acid and its active metabolites pass into breast milk. No negative effects on the child have been reported so far, therefore it is not necessary to interrupt breast-feeding, but the daily dose should not exceed 150 mg. If you take higher doses (more than 150 mg per day), you should stop breast-feeding.

Driving and using machines:
Aspimax Cardio does not affect your ability to drive or use machines.

How to take:
Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

Secondary prevention of myocardial infarction:
The recommended dose is one Aspimax Cardio 75 mg tablet once a day.

Prevention of cardiovascular morbidity in stable angina pectoris studies:
The recommended dose is one Aspimax Cardio 75 mg tablet once a day.

Prevention of graft occlusion after coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG):
The recommended dose is one Aspimax Cardio 75 mg tablet once a day.

Secondary prevention of transient ischemic attacks (TIA) and ischemic cerebrovascular accidents (ICA), after the diagnosis of intracerebral hemorrhage has been excluded:
The usual dose for long-term use is one Aspimax Cardio 75 mg tablet once a day. You should not take higher doses unless advised by a doctor, and you should not exceed 300 mg per day.

Use in children and adolescents:
This age group is not recommended.

Composition:
- The active substance is acetylsalicylic acid. Each gastro-resistant tablet contains 75 mg acetylsalicylic acid.
- The other ingredients are: core: microcrystalline cellulose, sodium starch glycolate type A, demagnesium stearate, povidone K 30, talc, colloidal silicon dioxide; film: methacrylic acid copolymer type C, talc, titanium dioxide (E 171), triethyl citrate (E 1505), colloidal anhydrous silica, sodium hydrogen carbonate (E 500), sodium lauryl sulfate.
