Coldrex Max Cold & Cough – 16 Capsules for Fast Symptom Relief

Indications:
Coldrex Max Cold & Cough contains the following active ingredients:
• Paracetamol, which is a pain reliever (analgesic) effective against pain, including headaches and sore throats, and also helps to lower the temperature when you have a fever (antipyretic).
• Guaifenesin, which is an expectorant, which helps to loosen mucus (phlegm) when you have a productive cough.
• Phenylephrine hydrochloride, which is a decongestant, which reduces swelling in the nasal passages, helping you to breathe easier.
This medicine is used for the short-term relief of cold and flu symptoms, including mild to moderate aches and pains, headache, stuffy nose and sore throat, chills and fever, and to relieve productive cough. You should only use Coldrex Max Cold and Cough if you have a combination of cold and flu symptoms, such as aches and/or fever, stuffy nose and productive cough.

This medicine can be used by adults, the elderly and adolescents aged 16 years and over.

You should consult a doctor if symptoms persist for more than 3 days, if they worsen or if other symptoms appear.

Contraindications:
Do not take Coldrex Max Cold and Cough if:
- you are allergic to paracetamol, guaifenesin, phenylephrine hydrochloride or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

Precautions:
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Coldrex Max Cold and Cough.

Pregnancy and breast-feeding:
Pregnancy:
If you are pregnant or think you may be pregnant, do not take this medicine.
If you are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
Based on human experience, phenylephrine hydrochloride causes birth defects when administered during pregnancy.
Breastfeeding:
This medicine should not be used during breast-feeding without medical advice.

Driving and using machines:
This medicine may cause dizziness. Do not drive or use machines if you feel dizzy after taking this medicine.

How to take it:
Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you.
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

Adults and adolescents aged 16 years and over, weighing 50 kg and over:
The recommended dose is 2 capsules every 4 to 6 hours as directed up to a maximum of 3 doses in 24 hours. Do not exceed the recommended dose. Do not take more than 6 capsules (3 g paracetamol) in a 24-hour period.

Coldrex Max Cold and Cough should not be used in adults, the elderly and adolescents aged 16 years and over who weigh less than 50 kg.

Do not take more than 4 capsules per day in the following situations, unless your doctor recommends it:
- Chronic alcoholism
- Dehydration
- Malnutrition

Use in elderly patients and those with liver or kidney disease:
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine if you are elderly or have liver or kidney disease, as you may need a lower dose or a less frequent dose.

Use in children and adolescents:
Do not give to children and adolescents under 16 years of age.

For oral use.

Swallow the capsules whole with water. Do not chew.

You should consult a doctor if symptoms persist for more than 3 days, worsen or other symptoms develop.

Composition:
- Each capsule contains the active substances: paracetamol (500 mg), guaifenesin (100 mg) and phenylephrine hydrochloride (6.1 mg, corresponding to 5 mg phenylephrine base).
- The other ingredients are: maize starch, croscarmellose sodium, sodium lauryl sulphate, magnesium stearate, talc; gelatin capsule: gelatin, sodium lauryl sulphate, quinoline yellow (E 104), indigo carmine (E 132), erythrosine (E 127), titanium dioxide (E 171), purified water.
