TARGET SPECIES: Cats

INDICATIONS:

The product is indicated in cats for the treatment and prevention of flea (Ctenocephalides spp.), tick (Rhipicephalus spp., Dermacentor spp., Ixodes spp.) and lice (Trichodectes canis, Linognatus setosus) infestations.

The product can be used in the treatment of flea allergy dermatitis.

COMPOSITION:

A 1.5 ml pipette contains:

Active substances:

Fipronil ………………………….. 52.5 mg
Pyriproxyfen ………………… 52.5 mg
Excipients:
Butylated hydroxyanisole ………….. 0.3 mg
Butylated hydroxytoluene ………. .0.15 mg
Benzyl alcohol ……………… 60.0 mg
Diethylene glycol monoethyl ether, Propylene glycol, Polysorbate 80, Isopropyl myristate, Povidone K30

CONTRAINDICATIONS:

Do not administer to cats under 8 weeks of age or weighing less than 1 kg.

Do not administer to sick or convalescent animals.

Do not administer to other animals (in rabbits, for example, it can cause death).

Do not administer in case of hypersensitivity to the active substances or excipients.

ADVERSE REACTIONS:

Ingestion of the product (if the animal licks after treatment) may cause mild hypersalivation.

Transient skin reactions at the site of application of the solution or general (erythema, redness, itching or local alopecia) may rarely occur.

Reversible neurological reactions or vomiting may rarely occur.

If you notice serious reactions or other effects not mentioned in this leaflet, please inform your veterinarian.

DOSAGE FOR EACH SPECIES, ROUTE OF ADMINISTRATION AND METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION:

The dose is one pipette with 1.5ml of product (52.5 mg fipronil/52.5 mg pyriproxyfen).

Route of administration: directly on the skin, by local application of the solution from the pipette.

Remove the pipette from the packaging.

Hold the pipette with the tip upwards and break the pre-cut end.

Remove the animal's fur in the shoulder blade area with your hand, until the skin is visible. Empty the pipette by pressing repeatedly, directly on the skin, at a distance of 2-4 cm, holding the tube perpendicular to the neck and avoiding contact of the product with the animal's mouth or eyes.

The product will spread over the entire body surface within 24-48 hours.

Animals should not be bathed for 48 hours after administration of the product, as this may affect the effectiveness of the product.

The treatment can be repeated at intervals of at least 4 weeks.

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR CORRECT ADMINISTRATION:

The product should be applied to areas where the cat cannot reach, so that it cannot lick the application site.

For best results, make sure to apply the product directly to the skin and not to the fur.

Keep out of the sight and reach of children.

Respect the recommended dose.

Dog pipettes should not be used on cats (it causes overdose).

Avoid contact of the product with the animal's eyes.

Special precautions for use on animals:

The product should be administered in an area where the animal cannot lick itself and there should also be no possibility for the animals to lick each other.

After treatment, the animal should not be bathed or allowed to swim for 48 hours, so as not to shorten the duration of the product's effectiveness.

For optimal effects and especially in the case of massive infestations, it is recommended to deworm the shelter, bedding and resting areas with insecticides intended for this purpose (preferably before applying the treatment).

For optimal control of the infestation, all dogs present in the shelter should be treated.

Special precautions to be taken by the person administering the veterinary medicinal product to animals:

Irritating to eyes and mucous membranes. Avoid contact with eyes and skin.

In case of accidental contact with skin or eyes, rinse with plenty of water. If irritation persists, seek medical advice immediately and show the package leaflet or the label to the physician.

Wash hands after using the product.

Do not smoke or eat or drink during treatment.

Avoid contact with the treated animal (both children and adults) until the skin at the application site has dried.

People with known hypersensitivity to the active substances should avoid contact with the product.

Use during pregnancy, lactation or lay:

The product can be used during pregnancy or lactation.

Interactions with other medicinal products or other forms of interaction:

None known.

Overdose (symptoms, emergency procedures, antidotes), as appropriate:
