Dulcolax, 10 mg, suppositories

Indications:
Dulcolax is a laxative with local action, which stimulates the peristaltic movements of the intestine and reduces the consistency of feces.
Because it is a laxative that acts in the colon, Dulcolax specifically stimulates the natural process of evacuation from the lower digestive tract. For this reason, Dulcolax does not alter the digestion or the absorption of calories or essential nutrients in the small intestine.

Dulcolax is used:
- in patients with constipation.
- in the preparation of medical investigations, before and after operations, as well as in all cases that require facilitating the evacuation of fecal matter.

If after 5 days you do not feel better or if you feel worse, you should see a doctor.

Contraindications:
Do not use Dulcolax:
- if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to bisacodyl or any of the other components of this medicine.

Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility:
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
Similar to other medicines, Dulcolax should be taken during pregnancy or breastfeeding only with the doctor's recommendation. Dulcolax can be used during breastfeeding.
In humans, no studies have been conducted on the effects of Dulcolax on fertility.

Driving vehicles and using machines:
No studies have been conducted on the effects of Dulcolax on the ability to drive or use machines.

Administration method:
Recommended dose:
For the treatment of constipation
Grown ups:
Use 1 suppository (10 mg bisacodyl). Suppositories usually take effect 10-30 minutes after administration. Do not exceed the maximum recommended daily dose.

Children and adolescents:
Children 10 years of age or older:
Use 1 suppository (10 mg bisacodyl). Suppositories usually take effect 10-30 minutes after administration. Do not exceed the maximum recommended daily dose.

Children aged 2-10 years:
For these patients, Dulcolax is available in appropriate dosage forms. You should not administer treatment for chronic or persistent constipation to patients 10 years of age or younger unless directed by your child's doctor.
