Indications:
Larofen 200 mg film-coated tablets are indicated for the relief of mild to moderate pain, with or without inflammation, such as: headaches, including migraines, back pain, muscle pain, toothache, joint pain, menstrual pain. It can also be used in case of fever and in the treatment of symptoms associated with colds or flu.
Larofen 200 mg film-coated tablets contain ibuprofen which belongs to a group of medicines called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs modify the body's response to pain, inflammation and fever.
Contraindications:
Do not use Larofen 200 mg film-coated tablets:
- if you are allergic to the active substance, to other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs or to any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
Precautions:
Before using Larofen 200 mg film-coated tablets, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility:
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
In the first 5 months of pregnancy, ibuprofen should only be taken if absolutely necessary and only under medical supervision.
In the last 4 months of pregnancy, ibuprofen is contraindicated.
Since ibuprofen, like other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, is excreted in breast milk, it is recommended to avoid its administration to breastfeeding women.
Driving and using machines:
Larofen 200 mg film-coated tablets may cause dizziness, headache, visual disturbances, reactions that may affect the ability to drive and use machines.
How to use:
Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
Recommended doses:
Adults, adolescents and children over 12 years of age
The usual dose is 1-2 Larofen 200 mg film-coated tablets, repeating if necessary at intervals of 4-6 hours. Do not take more than 6 Larofen 200 mg film-coated tablets in 24 hours.
Children under 12 years of age:
Larofen 200 mg film-coated tablets are not indicated for use in this age group.
Ask your doctor or pharmacist for the recommendation of suitable pharmaceutical forms.
Elderly patients:
No dose reduction is necessary, unless renal or hepatic insufficiency is present. In this case, ask your doctor to determine the doses that can be used.
Method of administration:
Larofen 200 mg film-coated tablets should be swallowed with a glass of water, preferably after a meal.
The median line is not intended for breaking the tablet.

Composition:
- The active substance is ibuprofen. Each film-coated tablet contains 200 mg ibuprofen.
- The other ingredients are: core - talc, magnesium stearate, colloidal anhydrous silica, microcrystalline cellulose, maize starch, super tab spray-dried lactose; film - partially hydrolyzed polyvinyl alcohol, titanium dioxide (E 171), macrogol 3350, talc, yellow iron oxide (E 172), quinoline yellow (E 104), black iron oxide (E 172).
