Nurofen Express, 200 mg, 20 soft capsules

Indications:
Nurofen Express is used for:
- relieving mild to moderate pain, such as headache, toothache and
- reducing fever and pain associated with the common cold.

Contraindications:
Do not take Nurofen Express
- if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to ibuprofen, Ponceau 4R (E124) or any of the other ingredients of Nurofen Express.

Precautions:
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Nurofen Express.

Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility:
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
Pregnancy:
Tell your doctor if you become pregnant while taking Nurofen Express Forte.
Do not take this medicine in the last 3 months of pregnancy. Avoid using this medicine during the first 6 months of pregnancy, unless your doctor advises you otherwise.
Breastfeeding:
Only small amounts of ibuprofen and its metabolites pass into breast milk. Nurofen Express Forte can be used during breast-feeding if used at the recommended dose and for the shortest possible period of time.
Fertility in women:
Nurofen Express Forte belongs to a group of medicines (NSAIDs) that may impair fertility in women.
This effect is reversible when the medicine is stopped.

Driving and using machines:
This medicine has no or negligible influence on the ability to drive and use machines when used for a short time at the recommended doses. If side effects such as tiredness and dizziness occur, do not drive or use machines. Drinking alcohol increases the risk of these side effects.

How to take:
Always use this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

Always take Nurofen Express exactly as described in this leaflet. You should talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure. Unless your doctor has told you otherwise, the usual standard doses are:

Adults and adolescents weighing approximately 40 kg:

Initial dose: take 1 or 2 capsules (200 mg or 400 mg ibuprofen) with water. If necessary, take additional doses of 1 or 2 capsules (200-400 mg ibuprofen), but do not exceed a total dose of 6 capsules in any 24-hour period. The interval between doses should not be less than 4 hours for the 200 mg dose and 6 hours for the 400 mg dose.

Children weighing 20 to 39 kg (approximately 6 years of age):
Nurofen Express should only be used in children weighing at least 20 kg. The maximum total daily dose of ibuprofen is 20-30 mg per kg body weight, divided into 3 to 4 single doses. The interval between doses should not be less than 6 hours. Do not exceed the maximum recommended daily dose. It is recommended that a total dose of 30 mg ibuprofen/kg in any 24-hour period should not be exceeded.

Children and adolescents:
If this medicine is needed in children and adolescents for more than 3 days, or if symptoms worsen, a doctor should be consulted. Other pharmaceutical forms of this medicine may be more suitable for children; ask your doctor or pharmacist.

Adults:
If symptoms worsen or persist for more than 3 days in the case of fever or more than 4 days for pain treatment, a doctor should be consulted.

Composition:
- The active substance is ibuprofen. Each capsule contains 200 mg ibuprofen.
- The other ingredients are: Capsule content: macrogol 600, potassium hydroxide (minimum purity 85%), purified water. Capsule: partially dehydrated liquid sorbitol (E 420), gelatin, ponceau 4R (E 124). Printing ink: Opacode WB white NS-78-18011[(containing titanium dioxide, propylene glycol, hypromellose 3cP (HPMC 2910)].
