Nurofen Express Forte, 400 mg, 20 soft capsules

Indications:
Nurofen Express Forte is used in adults and adolescents weighing more than 40 kg (aged 12 years and over) for the short-term symptomatic treatment of:
- mild to moderate pain, such as headache, menstrual pain, toothache
- fever and pain associated with the common cold.

Contraindications:
Do not take Nurofen Express Forte if:
- you are allergic to ibuprofen, Ponceau 4R (E124) or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

Precautions:
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Nurofen Express Forte.

Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility:
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
Pregnancy:
Tell your doctor if you become pregnant while taking Nurofen Express Forte.
Do not take this medicine in the last 3 months of pregnancy. Avoid using this medicine in the first 6 months of pregnancy unless your doctor tells you otherwise.
Breastfeeding:
Only small amounts of ibuprofen and its metabolites pass into breast milk. Nurofen Express Forte can be used during breast-feeding if used in the recommended dose and for the shortest possible period of time.
Fertility in women:
Nurofen Express Forte belongs to a group of medicines (NSAIDs) which may impair fertility in women.
This effect is reversible when the medicine is stopped.

Driving and using machines:
In the short term, the use of this medicine at normal doses has no or negligible influence on the ability to drive and use machines.
Patients who experience dizziness, drowsiness, vertigo or visual disturbances while taking Nurofen Express Forte should avoid driving or operating machinery. These effects may be more serious when used in combination with alcohol.

How to use:
Always use this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

Adults and adolescents weighing more than 40 kg (12 years of age and over)
The starting dose is one capsule, taken with water. Then, if necessary, one capsule is taken every six hours. Do not exceed three capsules (1200 mg) in any 24-hour period.
If you have any further questions on the use of this medicine, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

Composition:
- The active substance is ibuprofen. Each capsule contains 400 mg ibuprofen.
- The other ingredients are: - capsule contents: macrogol 600, potassium hydroxide, purified water; - capsule shell: sorbitol liquid (E420), gelatin, Ponceau 4R; printing ink: titanium dioxide, propylene glycol, hypromellose; processing aids: triglycerides (medium chain), lecithin.
