Indications:
Nurofen Express Forte is used in adults and adolescents with a body weight of more than 40 kg (aged 12 years and over) for the short-term symptomatic treatment of:
- mild to moderate pains, such as headaches, menstrual pains, toothaches
- fever and pain associated with the common cold.
Contraindications:
Do not take Nurofen Express Forte if:
- you are allergic to ibuprofen, Ponceau 4R (E124) or any of the other components of this medicine.
Precautions:
Before taking Nurofen Express Forte, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility:
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
Task:
Tell your doctor if you become pregnant while taking Nurofen Express Forte.
Do not take this medicine during the last 3 months of pregnancy. Avoid using this medicine during the first 6 months of pregnancy, unless your doctor tells you otherwise.
Breastfeeding:
Only small amounts of ibuprofen and its metabolites pass into breast milk. Nurofen Express Forte can be administered during breastfeeding if used in the recommended dose and for the shortest possible time.
Fertility in women:
Nurofen Express Forte belongs to a group of medicines (NSAIDs) that can affect fertility in women.
This effect is reversible when the drug is stopped.
Driving vehicles and using machines:
In the short term, the use of this medicine in the usual dose has no or negligible influence on the ability to drive and use machines.
Patients who experience dizziness, drowsiness, vertigo or visual disturbances while using Nurofen Express Forte should avoid driving or using machines. These effects may be more serious when used in combination with ethyl alcohol.
Administration method:
Always use this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
Adults and adolescents with a body weight of more than 40 kg (aged 12 years and over)
The initial dose is one capsule, administered with water. Then, if necessary, one capsule is administered every six hours. Do not exceed three capsules (1200 mg) in a 24-hour period.

Composition:
- The active substance is ibuprofen. Each capsule contains ibuprofen 400 mg.
- The other components are: - capsule content: macrogol 600, potassium hydroxide, purified water; - capsule: liquid sorbitol (E420), gelatin, Ponceau 4R; printing ink: titanium dioxide, propylene glycol, hypromellose; auxiliary substances for processing: triglycerides (medium chain), lecithin.
