Nurofen Junior 40mg/ml Oral Suspension – Orange Flavour, 100ml | Ibuprofen for Children Aged 6–12

Indications:
Nurofen Junior Oral Suspension, 6-12 years with strawberry or orange flavor, is administered to children for the short-term symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain and fever.
- Relieves fever and pain in children
- Has analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antipyretic properties that reduce fever and pain in children
- Comes with a graduated syringe, easy to handle, which facilitates the administration of the medicine
- Orange and strawberry flavor
- Does not contain sugar and dyes
- Administered to children aged 6 to 12 years

Contraindications:
Do not use Nurofen Junior in children:
- who are allergic to ibuprofen or other similar analgesics (NSAIDs), or to any of the other ingredients of the medicine.

Precautions:
Before using Nurofen Junior, consult your doctor or pharmacist.

Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility:
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.
Pregnancy:
Do not use this medicine during the last three months of pregnancy. Avoid using this medicine during the first 6 months of pregnancy unless your doctor tells you otherwise.
Breast-feeding:
Only small amounts of ibuprofen and its breakdown products pass into breast milk, but Nurofen Junior can be used during breast-feeding if taken in recommended doses and for the shortest possible period.
Fertility:
Nurofen Junior belongs to a group of medicines (NSAIDs) which may impair fertility in women. This effect is reversible when the medicine is stopped.

Driving and using machines:
This medicine has no or negligible influence on the ability to drive and use machines when used short-term.

How to take:
Always take Nurofen Junior exactly as directed. You should talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

It is not intended for children under 6 years of age or weighing less than 20 kg.

The recommended daily dose of Nurofen Junior oral suspension, 6-12 years is 20-30 mg ibuprofen/kg administered orally in several doses, at intervals of 6-8 hours. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.

Composition:
- Each millilitre of oral suspension contains 40 mg ibuprofen. Each 5 ml oral suspension contains 200 mg ibuprofen. Each 2.5 ml oral suspension contains 100 mg ibuprofen. The ibuprofen content is equivalent to 4% w/v.
- The other ingredients are: citric acid monohydrate, sodium citrate, sodium chloride, sodium saccharin, polysorbate 80, domiphene bromide, liquid maltitol (E 965), glycerin, xanthan gum, orange flavour (containing wheat starch) and purified water.
