Indications:
Nurofen for children oral suspension, 3 months+ is administered once every 8 hours, to relieve fever and pain in children and babies aged 3 months and older. Nurofen for children's suspensions with ibuprofen have analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antipyretic properties.

Contraindications:
Do not administer this medicine to children who:
- are allergic to ibuprofen or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

Precautions:
Before using Nurofen for children oral suspension, 3 months+, consult your doctor or pharmacist.

Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility:
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
Pregnancy:
Do not use Nurofen for children in the last trimester of pregnancy (extremely rare in children under 12 years of age).
Breast-feeding:
Only small amounts of ibuprofen and its breakdown products pass into breast milk, but Nurofen for children can be used during breast-feeding if taken in recommended doses and for the shortest possible period.
Fertility:
Avoid using this medicine if you are trying to get pregnant.

Driving and using machines:
This medicine has no effect on the ability to drive or use machines.

How to take it:
Always use this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

Pain or fever:
The recommended daily dose of Nurofen for children is 20-30 mg ibuprofen/kg orally, given in divided doses every 6-8 hours. The recommended dose should not be exceeded. Depending on the age of the child, the following doses are administered, using the graduated syringe:

Infants aged 3-12 months weighing more than 5 kg 5-9 50 mg (2.5 ml) up to 3 times in 24 hours
Children aged 1-3 years 10-16 100 mg (5 ml) up to 3 times in 24 hours
Children aged 4-6 years 17-20 150 mg (7.5 ml) up to 3 times in 24 hours
Children aged 7-9 years 21-30 200 mg (10 ml) up to 3 times in 24 hours
Children aged 10-12 years 31-40 300 mg (15 ml) up to 3 times in 24 hours
Nurofen for children should not be given to children weighing less than 5 kg.

Treatment of post-vaccination fever:
The recommended dose is 50 mg ibuprofen (2.5 ml Nurofen for children oral suspension) followed, if necessary, by another dose of 50 mg ibuprofen (2.5 ml Nurofen for children oral suspension), at 6-hour intervals. No more than 5 ml Nurofen for children oral suspension (100 mg ibuprofen) should be given in any 24-hour interval.

Composition:
- The active substance is ibuprofen. Each millilitre of oral suspension contains 20 mg ibuprofen. 5 ml of oral suspension contains 100 mg ibuprofen.
- The other ingredients are polysorbate 80, glycerin, liquid maltitol (E 965), sodium saccharin, citric acid monohydrate, sodium citrate, xanthan gum, sodium chloride, strawberry flavor, domiphene bromide, purified water.
