Paduden Express 200 mg – Fast Pain & Fever Relief, 10 Softgels

Indications:
Ibuprofen, the active ingredient of this medicine, works by reducing pain and fever.

It is recommended for adults and adolescents over 12 years of age for the symptomatic relief of occasional mild to moderate pain, such as headache, toothache, menstrual pain, muscle pain (contractures) or back pain (lumbago), as well as in febrile conditions and fever and pain after vaccination.

You should talk to a doctor if your symptoms worsen or do not improve and if the fever lasts more than 3 days or the pain lasts more than 3 days in adolescents or 5 days in adults.

Contraindications:
Do not take PADUDEN Express:
- if you are allergic to ibuprofen, other NSAIDs (e.g. acetylsalicylic acid, naproxen, etc.) or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

Precautions:
Before taking PADUDEN Express, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility:
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.

As ibuprofen has been associated with an increased risk of birth defects/miscarriage, its use in the first and second trimesters of pregnancy is not recommended unless clearly necessary. In these cases, the dose and duration of administration should be reduced to the minimum.

In the third trimester of pregnancy, the use of this medicine is contraindicated.

This medicine passes into breast milk, but can be taken during breast-feeding, if you use it at the recommended dose for the shortest possible period.

For patients of childbearing potential, it should be noted that ibuprofen-type medicines have been associated with a reduced ability to conceive. Avoid taking this medicine if you are trying to become pregnant.

Driving and using machines:
If you experience dizziness, vertigo, visual disturbances or other symptoms while taking this medicine, you should not drive or use dangerous machines.

How to take:
Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

The recommended dose is:
• Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age (in adolescents weighing > 40 kg):
Initial dose: take 1 or 2 capsules (200 mg) with water. If necessary, take additional doses of 1 or 2 capsules (200 mg), but do not exceed a total dose of 6 capsules in a 24-hour period.
The interval between doses should not be less than 4 hours for the 200 mg dose.
• Patients over 65 years of age: the amount to be taken should be determined by their doctor, as a reduction in the usual dose may be necessary.

The lowest effective dose should be used for the shortest time necessary to relieve symptoms. If you have an infection, consult a doctor immediately if symptoms (such as fever and pain) do not go away or get worse (see section 2).

How to take the medicine:
This medicine is taken orally.
Swallow the medicine with some water. Do not chew it.
Take the medicine with meals, especially if you have digestive problems.

This medicine is given when pain or fever occurs. If these do not go away, the medicine should be stopped.

You should talk to a doctor if your symptoms get worse or do not improve and if the fever lasts for more than 3 days or the pain lasts for more than 3 days in adolescents or 5 days in adults.

Composition:
- The active substance is ibuprofen. Each soft capsule contains 200 mg ibuprofen.
- The other ingredients are:
Capsule core: macrogol 600, potassium hydroxide, colloidal anhydrous silica, purified water.
Capsule shell: gelatin, partially dehydrated liquid sorbitol (E 420), purified water, tartrazine (E 102) and medium chain triglycerides.
