Indications:
- for muscular or osteoarticular pain of rheumatic origin;
- in case of postoperative and post-traumatic (e.g. sprains) muscular or osteoarticular edema of traumatic nature (mild injuries of tendons, muscles, ligaments, etc.).
Contraindications:
Do not use if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to diclofenac sodium, other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs or any of the other components of the drug.
Do not use if you have skin lesions, such as: moist dermatoses, eczema, infected lesions, burns, wounds.
Do not use if you have had allergic attacks to acetylsalicylic acid or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
Do not use if you are in the last 4 months of pregnancy.
Precautions:
- do not apply Volini to mucous membranes, especially the eyes,
- do not apply Volini to areas with skin lesions or wounds;
- if a skin rash appears after applying diclofenac, discontinue treatment immediately;
- do not apply Volini to large areas of skin or for a long time, as the occurrence of general adverse reactions known for oral forms of diclofenac cannot be excluded;
- if you use Volini for a long time, you should wear gloves when applying the gel.
Do not apply Volini under an occlusive dressing.
Pregnancy, breastfeeding and fertility:
Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking any medicine.
In the first 5 months of pregnancy, you can use Volini only on the advice of your doctor, if absolutely necessary. Starting from the 6th month, do not use Volini.
Driving and using machines:
It does not affect the ability to drive or use machines.
Method of administration:
Apply 3–4 times a day, directly to the affected area.
The dose used for each application depends on the size of the painful area and is generally approximately 2–4 g of gel (equivalent to a 5–10 cm segment of gel).
To facilitate absorption, it is recommended to perform a light and prolonged massage on the painful and/or inflamed area. After each application, it is necessary to wash your hands carefully.
Unless otherwise recommended by the doctor, the duration of use should not exceed:
- 14 days in the case of trauma affecting soft tissues (muscles, tendons, ligaments, blood vessels);
- 28 days in the case of pain associated with acute inflammation.
Composition:
The active substance is diclofenac sodium.
One gram of gel contains diclofenac sodium 10 mg.
The other ingredients are: levomenthol, carbomer 980, triethanolamine, methyl p-hydroxybenzoate, n-propyl p-hydroxybenzoate, ethanol, purified water.
